Kuwait has just been blessed with light shower! Whopee! Amazzzzzin weather!

Update: It just got so damn dusty after the rain :S

I remember 10 years ago the Kuwait Towers and the Liberation tower could be spotted from nearly every place in Kuwait City.

With the construction boom, these two icons have been dwarfed, and sadly, can be sighted from only a few spots in Kuwait City now.

Kuwait on traffic lite?

Is it just me or is the traffic really thinning down?

The journey from my house to my office took me 1 hr 15 mins every morning. Now the same journey takes just 25 - 35 mins.

There just seem to be lesser cars on the road. It is not even summer yet ! Is it the recession ???

Update on yesterday's fire

Al Watan Daily has posted an article about yesterady's fire on their website.

a power transmission unit in Feiha caught fire.

the article states that the fire started at 1 pm, though the fire started around 12.30 pm.  anyways, they have not mentioned weather there were any casualties or not, other than the firefighter who suffered from suffocation.

Big fire in Faiha

i can see a big fire outside my window looking towards shuwaikh.  

the grey clouds have spread above kuwait city. 

hope there are no casualties.

update: the fire has been put off.
